How to find analogue for my protein?

In our database we have accession numbers for rats, mice, human and monkeys, since during different experiments, different animal models were used. To facilitate searching, we found human analogues for all the proteins. So if you have not very common animal model it is advisable to find human analogue for it.
Searching in UniProt
  1. Enter your accession number into the UniProt search
  2. Copy the description for the “gene” from the displayed website and paste into the UniProt search
  3. You will obtain a list of proteins coded by this gene in different animals. Search for the Human reviewed Swiss-Prot analogue and try to search for your protein by this number.
